Accreditation is not the same as experience or permission

Understand why legal investor categories, platform checks, and offering access are separate questions.

Accredited investor is a US legal category, not a measure of investing skill. Other countries use different classifications and safeguards.

Even when a person meets a category, a platform or manager may still require identity checks, residence checks, documentation, invitation, allocation, or approval. A live offering may also exclude a geography.
